Got your attention, didn’t we?!? So much of Alex and Anne’s outdoor ceremony in St. Clairsville, Ohio, was memorable but their wedding recessional beyond compare.
One of the reasons we adore photographing weddings is because wedding days have a natural rhythm and flow that is not unlike the acts of a play or scenes from broadway show. You know — the rising action, climax and resolution. Emotions and story. At various times throughout the day, there are many natural points when emotions just rise and (hopefully!) spill over.
First looks between a bride and groom. When a father sees his daughter in her gown. The exchange of a special note or gift.
The recessional of a bride and groom from the ceremony is definitely one of those occasions….but Alex and Annee raised the bar to a new level! Just as they were announced to their guests, a gentle breeze picked up Annee’s veil, they kissed tight and then carried that emotion back down the aisle. Sprinkle in a few well-placed guests with confetti cannons and, well, take a look!
And Hemingway — the super cute Maltese — you had us at first wag!
