A Pennsylvanian Wedding….

We just adore the grand backdrop and beauty of a classic downtown Pittsburgh wedding — and The Grand Hall at The Pennsylvanian fit Beth and Jon perfectly! We first started at The Westin Pittsburgh capturing moments and details with the couple preparing while surrounded by their family and friends…

They opted to see each other during the actual wedding ceremony and following a short ride to the historic Trinity Episcopal Cathedral, Beth was escorted by her father down the aisle to a waiting Jon.  Over the years, we have learned to try and keep our cameras at our eyes as much as possible — just that split second it takes to raise the camera can sometimes be the difference between grabbing a fleeting moment or look.  As we photographed the last of Beth’s bridesmaids, she briefly paused with her father in the door of the church and we were quickly able to frame a silhouette and highlight the beautiful stained glass in the Cathedral.

After family formals and portraits in the Oakland section of Pittsburgh, we proceeded to The Grand Hall at the Pennsylvanian for a wonderful dinner and dance reception. But not before making sure we captured some memorable toasts and well wishes from family and friends….

Once the evening settled in, we ventured outside for a quick night session alongside the venue and under The Pennsylvanian’s grand rotunda!
