James Carl Photography provided us with excellent service for our recent wedding in October. Jim and Ellie were very creative and accommodating. It’s always good to have so many wonderful photos that you cannot decide which ones to have printed! We would recommend them to anyone looking for a photographer for a wedding/engagement.
If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. Not only were James and Ellie able to beautifully capture the events of the day, they were able to highlight who Chris and I are as a couple along with the emotions that were felt throughout the day all through photograghs. Beyond their photographic ability, what became more important to me were James and Ellie’s kind and patient personalities. This was exceptionally helpful as a bride planning a wedding through a pandemic. I can not say enough about how grateful I am for James and Ellie and the next time we need a professional photographer, they will be our first call.
James went above and beyond for our big day. Not only did he capture every detail we imagined, his team and him highlighted unexpected moments that are some of our favorite shots. Throughout the process he continued to be purposeful with every detail. His vision is the perfect balance of contemporary and traditional. We could not have had a more perfect experience.
You need a pillar of calmness on your wedding day, and James is a great photographer and makes taking photos fun. You can tell when someone enjoys their art/work and making it with you, and that is what you’ll get with James. If you’re looking for a photographer that is going to get natural shots and not feel like they are intruding in your day, James is the artist you want.
The best photographer ever! We hired James for my daughter’s wedding and I couldn’t have been happier. Prior to the wedding he made sure to meet with us to ensure what our expectations were and what kind of pictures we wanted. He didn’t miss anything during the wedding and the pictures are absolutely AMAZING. Before he left for the night he came to ask and make sure there were no other pictures that we wanted or needed taken to ensure we had everything we wanted. We couldn’t be happier he was the photographer we chose for my daughter’s special day. Thank you for capturing such amazing memories that we’ll be able to cherish forever!
James and Ellie are a fabulous husband and wife photography team. They did an incredible job with our wedding; the ceremony at St. Paul Cathedral and the reception at the Music Hall Foyer at the Carnegie Museum of Art in Pittsburgh. We were completely blown away by our wedding pictures – they were able to capture the grandness and beauty of our venues, as well as so many special moments we had throughout the day. Better yet, they took A LOT of pictures, so we got to see parts of our wedding day that we didn’t even know happened. They’re professional, kind, experienced, and among the best in the area. James was amazing to work with for our wedding. Planning in 2020 was stressful but he made this part easy. He and Ellie were amazing on the wedding day. I had 14 bridesmaids who all said he was the best wedding photographer they had ever worked with. The pictures are amazing! They really captured our big day perfectly 🙂
I cannot say enough about the great experience we had with James. The photos were absolutely beautiful! James did an amazing job capturing every moment perfectly, and left us with an amazing snapshot in time. My wife and I had a wonderful time having our photos taken as well. James and Ellie photographed our wedding at the Gilfillan Farm near Pittsburgh and they were wonderful to work with! They were honest, professional, and hard-working throughout the whole process. The photos of our day turned out gorgeous, and our album is beautiful quality. I have already recommended them to my friends who are planning their weddings!
