While we love travelling to new locations for our work, we just adore photographing weddings in our hometown — Pittsburgh. Having lived and grown up in Pittsburgh gives us a ready point of reference and familiarity and there are just so many great places to capture photographs! So it goes without saying that we were thrilled when Kate and Gerald’s day turned out to be, literally, a Tour of the ‘burgh!
After getting ready in their respective family homes, Kate and Gerald wed at Saint Januarius in the eastern suburbs. Before heading to the south shore for the reception at the Sheraton Station Square, we stopped in the Oakland section of Pittsburgh for portraits at the Mellon Institute. As always, the Reflections Ballroom at the Sheraton looked fantastic and a joyous evening was had by all! Here are some our favorite images from their day.
