Whew….what a summer! Time to catch up on the blog and show some of the wonderful recently engaged couples that we’ve had the honor of photographing over the last few months. Matt and Jessie met after being introduced by Jessie’s close friend (and JCP bride!) Kristen a few years back. The rest, as they say, is history! These two have such a light, easy going chemistry that you simply can’t help enjoy being around them.
As we love to do, we met up in Pittsburgh and specifically the Oakland section of the city. There’s a reason why this area is such a popular destination for wedding and engagement photographs — great mix of green space combined with interesting architecture. We wandered the area around the Cathedral of Learning on the University of Pittsburgh campus and enjoyed the great light before making our way over to the Mellon Institute (you know, the place where they filmed a scene in this movie) for more classic portraits. We finished up our evening together high atop Mount Washington with downtown Pittsburgh serving as the perfect backdrop. Here are a couple of our favorites and we can’t wait to photograph their New Year’s Eve wedding in just a few months!
