Throughout Chris and Natasha’s outdoor wedding ceremony at Montour Heights Country Club, we had a watchful eye to the Western sky — clouds were building. Fingers crossed and the entire ceremony went off without a hitch. As if on cue, just after Chris and Natasha kissed and they were presented to their guests, the first drops fell from the sky. No. Panic.
Gently reaching for the sky in celebration, Natasha calmly exclaimed to their guests “don’t worry” while Chris smiled and took his bride’s hand down the aisle…
But, let’s back up — we kinda knew it would be this way with Chris and Natasha. Their story with us started last year with an enthusiastic inquiry and Skype call to our studio while they were at home in New York City — the positive energy was clear to us during our call and we couldn’t wait to work with them! We just loved their enthusiasm and it was going to be a beautiful day.
We arrived early in the day to photograph Natasha while she prepared with her bridesmaids and mother. As always, we were sure to grab shots of Chris making sure he looked great and then we went outside for their first look on the Estate’s grounds. The rain didn’t last long and we were able to venture outside for images around the Club’s garden areas. Their evening was rounded off with a wonderful reception at the Club where they danced the night away — and we capped the night with a night shot on the grounds in front of the Club….
